Fear of YHVH

Shabbat Shalom!! We look forward to worshipping with the Treasured Ones today!!

Today we will continue looking at what the rewards and promises are for those who Fear YHVH.

Psalm 31:19 says, “How great is Your goodness, which You have stored up for those who fear You, which You have wrought for those who take refuge in You, before the sons of men!”

For those who have the Fear of YHVH and Take Refuge in Him:

 *  Goodness is STORED up

Psalm 65:4 says, “How blessed is the one whom You choose and bring near to You to dwell in Your courts. We will be satisfied with the goodness of Your houseYour holy temple.” This is a pattern that when we have received Yeshua for salvation and His way of life, it will lead us to the commandment of a holy convocation, a public assembly where He’s placed His name, at His appointed times.  When He tore down the Temple, His house on earth, and scattered us to the nations, He told us to be His witnesses.  He expects us to take the function and the message from our forefathers and gather together in the designated place for worshipping, and this, too, is dwelling in His courts…in the goodness of His house.  If we follow the example that Yeshua showed forth by being in the synagogue on the Sabbath, we will experience the blessings and goodness of our Elohim!!

Romans 2:4 says, “Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the goodness of Elohim leads you to repentance?” His goodness draws us to repentance which in turn draws us near to Him and into His house. It is something to be valued and if we read the surrounding verses, Paul is correcting some in the congregation who were passing harsh judgments for things they themselves were still doing. To be our brother’s keeper and point out sin and lead one back to repentance is Biblical; but not if we’re guilty of the same or worse sin. This is a great reminder that Yah’s goodness is available to us all so that we can repent and come back into right standing with Him.

Psalm 5:11-12 says, “11 But let all who take refuge in You be glad, let them ever sing for joy; and may You shelter them, that those who love Your name may exult in You[A pattern of coming together on Shabbats and holy days is for the purpose of exulting and worshipping as a corporate body] 12 For it is You who blesses the righteous man, O YHVH, You surround him with favor as with a shield.”

Another pattern that those who take refuge in Him will be:

  1. Glad
  2. Forever Sing for Joy
  3. Will be sheltered
  4. Blessed
  5. Surrounded with Favor

 The Fear of YHVH will lead us to His goodness, His protection, His gathering place!!

May we have a joyful Shabbat!!
