26th April 2024: Our Daily deLIGHT~4th Day-Spirit of YHVH
Spirit of YHVH
Now this day’s deLIGHT could go on for days as there really is NO end to the Spirit of YHVH!! I will keep it concise as that is the format of Our Daily deLIGHT, but I am excited to continue this as we move along each week!!
In Isaiah 11:1-2 it actually begins with the Spirit of YHVH and it is this Spirit that enables us to have the other six Spirits of our heavenly Father. All the other spirits do not exist without the Spirit of YHVH. Spirit is the Hebrew word Ruach, Strong’s Number 7307. Its meaning is wind, breath, mind, spirit. The Spirit is like the wind, you don’t actually see it, but you experience and witness what is affected by it.
Let’s make a connection with the first use of the Hebrew word Ruach/Spirit found in Genesis 1:2 with something Yeshua does in the book of Matthew.
Genesis 1:2, “The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of Elohim was moving over the surface of the waters.”
In Matthew 14:22-27, it says, “22 Immediately He [Yeshua] made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of Him to the other side, while He sent the crowds away. 23 After He had sent the crowds away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray; and when it was evening, He was there alone. 2. But the boat was already a long distance from the land, battered by the waves; for the wind was contrary. 25 And in the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea [waters]. 26 When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea [waters], they were terrified, and said, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out in fear. 27 But immediately Yeshua spoke to them, saying, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.”
In Genesis we see formless, void and darkness, then the Spirit is moving over the waters and afterwards “Elohim said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.” What is interesting about that is the sun, moon and stars were not created until the 4th day, so this light has long been understood to be Yeshua and John 1 confirms this. Fast forward to Matthew 14 and once again we see Yeshua, who is the Light and the Son representing the Spirit of YHVH on this earth, walking/moving over the surface of the waters as the boat was being battered; and He says, “Take courage, it is I, do not be afraid.” Can you see the pattern? When the Spirit of YHVH moves over our chaos and circumstances it changes our state of being for the good.
In order to walk in the other Spirits of YHVH mentioned in Isaiah 11:1-2; wisdom, understanding, counsel, power, knowledge and the fear of YHVH we must be filled with the Spirit of YHVH. It is that center shaft of the menorah that gives oil to all the other branches. Each day we wake up may we ask the Spirit of YHVH to fill us up in order to have the fuel we need to walk uprightly in our day to day life!!
Have a blessed and shalom filled day!!
