2nd April 2024: Our Daily deLIGHT~3rd Day-Counsel

Counsel
Life is a gift and journey and is given to us for our Creator’s kingdom purposes. Isaiah 43:5-7 says, 5 “Do not fear, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, and gather you from the west. 6 “I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ And to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’ Bring My sons from afar and My daughters from the ends of the earth, 7 Everyone who is called by My name [Key…it is those who are called by His name], and whom I have created for My glory, whom I have formed, even whom I have made.” We were created for Yah’s glory, therefore, He has established His Word to counsel us in the way that will bring Him glory, that will be a light to others and that leads to the path of life. Today we will look at a few verses that give us keys that will lead us in the way we should go if we allow the Spirit of Counsel to speak into our lives and heed it.
Proverbs 10:17 says,
He is on the path of life who heeds instruction [follows counsel], but he who ignores reproof goes astray.
Proverbs 6:23 says,
“For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching is light; and reproofs for discipline are the way of life”
Proverbs 15:24 says,
The path of life leads upward for the wise that he may keep away from Sheol below.
Proverbs 4:18 says,
But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until the full day.
Isaiah 26:7 says,
The way of the righteous is smooth; O Upright One, make the path of the righteous level.
The requirements and rewards for those following the path of the Commandments found in the verses above:
- The Path of Life is for those who heed instruction [follows counsel]
- We have the lamp and light when we keep the commandments
- If we receive reproofs for discipline we have the Way of Life
- It leads upward for the wise
- It keeps us from Sheol…eternal separation from YHVH and Yeshua
- Our light will shine brighter and brighter
- Our way is made smooth and level
