11th February 2024: Our Daily deLIGHT~1st Day-Wisdom
Wisdom
The concept of the right verses the left is a repeatable concept in the Scriptures. “Toward the right” is idiomatic for choosing the correct way in which to walk and of course “going toward the left” would be choosing the path of the fool or the wrong way. The verses below will give us the Spirit of Wisdom from the Word that will help us keep our hearts seeking things above and thereby walking in the right way.
Ecclesiastes 10:2 says, “A wise man’s heart directs him toward the right, but the foolish man’s heart directs him toward the left.”
Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
Colossians 3:1-3 says, “1 Therefore if you have been raised up with Messiah, keep seeking the things above, where Messiah is, seated at the right hand of Elohim. 2 Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. 3 For you have died and your life is hidden with Messiah in Elohim.”
1 Timothy 4:6-11 says, “6 In pointing out these things to the brethren, you will be a good servant of Messiah Yeshua, constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the sound doctrine which you have been following. 7 But have nothing to do with worldly fables fit only for old women. On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness; 8 for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life AND also for the life to come. 9 It is a trustworthy statement deserving full acceptance. [A powerful statement] 10 For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living Elohim, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers. 11 Prescribe and teach these things.” [A direct instruction of what to do.]
As we walk the path of life, may we seek the things which are above and allow the Spirit of Wisdom to guide our steps toward the right and thereby be considered wise.
Have a blessed and shalom filled day!!
