14th December 2024: Our Daily deLIGHT~7th Day-Fear of YHVH
Fear of YHVH
Shabbat Shalom!! We look forward to worshipping the Holy One today!!
Today we will continue looking at what the rewards, requirements and promises are for those who Fear YHVH.
Isaiah 50:10 says, “Who is among you that fears YHVH, that obeys the voice of His servant, that walks in darkness [In the Hebrew this darkness is figurative meaning misery or trial.] and has no light? Let him trust in the name of YHVH and rely on his Elohim.”
The verses below belong to the Messianic Prophecies that speak of Yeshua to come. Look for the promises for His people too.
Isaiah 49:1-5 says,
1 Listen [Shema in Hebrew] to Me, O islands, and pay attention [Give Heed in the Hebrew], you peoples from afar. YHVH called Me from the womb; from the body of My mother He named Me. [He has also given us a new name.]
2 He has made My mouth like a sharp sword, in the shadow of His hand He has concealed Me; and He has also made Me a select arrow, He has hidden Me in His quiver.
3 He said to Me, “You are My Servant, Israel, in Whom I will show My glory.”
4 But I said, “I have toiled in vain, I have spent My strength for nothing and vanity; yet surely the justice due to Me is with YHVH, and My reward with My Elohim.” [for nothing and vanity means He would be rejected.]
5 And now says YHVH, who formed Me from the womb to be His Servant, to bring Jacob back to Him, so that Israel might be gathered to Him (For I am honored in the sight of YHVH, and My Elohim is My strength),” [To be gathered back to the Father is GOOD news for the people of Elohim!! This is rehearsed every Shabbat when we gather with Him at His appointed time.]
Isaiah 26:4 says, “Trust in YHVH forever, for in Yah YHVH [The Yah YHVH wording is not a mistake, this is how it is in the Hebrew. This is one of about 49 places that the contraction Yah is used in Scripture], we have an everlasting Rock.”
Isaiah 51:5-8 says,
5 “My righteousness is near, My salvation has gone forth, and My arms will judge the peoples; the coastlands will wait for Me, and for My arm they will wait expectantly.
6 “Lift up your eyes to the sky, then look to the earth beneath; for the sky will vanish like smoke, and the earth will wear out like a garment and its inhabitants will die in like manner; but My salvation will be forever, and My righteousness will not wane.
7 “Listen [Shema in Hebrew] to Me, you who know righteousness, a people in whose heart is My law; do not fear the reproach of man [Fear YHVH], nor be dismayed at their revilings.
8 “For the moth will eat them like a garment, and the grub will eat them like wool. But My righteousness will be forever, and My salvation to all generations.”
The promise for those who obey and Fear His Name is that He will watch over us through our trials and gather us back to the garden!!
May we have a joyful Shabbat!!
