Saying number 2 is from Proverbs 22:22-23.  It says, “22 Do not rob the poor because he is poor, or crush the afflicted at the gate; 23  For YHVH will plead their case and take the life of those who rob them.”

Proverbs 17:4 says, “He who mocks the poor taunts his Maker; he who rejoices at calamity will not go unpunished.”

Proverbs 22:16 says, “He who oppresses the poor to make more for himself or who gives to the rich, will only come to poverty.”

Exodus 23:6 says, “You shall not pervert the justice due to your needy brother in his dispute.”

Yeshua said the poor will always be among you. The Torah gives instructions on how to take care of those in need; in fact, His economic system covers every part of His kingdom and nothing will go lacking when we walk in the Spirit of Wisdom and do it according to the pattern.
