Happy Preparation Day for the weekly Shabbat!!!!  May it be filled with the presence of our King!!

While the sixth day of the week is preparation for the seventh day…the Shabbat; the sixth millennia is a preparation time for the millennial reign.  At this time we are in exile, but a day is coming when we will be fully gathered together with our Messiah IF we prepare properly.  In the meantime, while we’re still in exile, what knowledge do we have about the patterns of Scripture and how do we apply it to our lives?  The knowledge we walk in will directly affect our lives as well as the lives we’re privileged to influence.  Let’s explore an example of this in Daniel 5, but first let’s set it up.

The children of Israel have been sent into exile and captivity for seventy years to Nebuchadnezzar for not keeping the Sabbath of the land. Belshazzar, his son is now ruling as king.  While hosting a great feast, he ordered for the gold and silver vessels to be brought to him which his father, Nebuchadnezzar, had taken out of the Temple in Jerusalem so that they all may drink from them.  This was a BAD idea!!! What pattern can we learn from this: When anything has been set apart for the purpose of worshipping YHVH, including the WAY He said it is to be done, it should not be used for any other purpose.  Mingled worship is forbidden for the people of YHVH, even to this day, because He never changes.  Let’s now begin in Daniel 5.

Daniel 5:4-9 says; “4 They drank the wine and praised the gods of gold and silver, of bronze, iron, wood and stone. [He has now crossed the line that he began to step over when he ordered them to be brought to him.] 5 Suddenly the fingers of a man’s hand emerged and began writing opposite the lampstand on the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace, and the king saw the back of the hand that did the writing. 6 Then the king’s face grew pale and his thoughts alarmed him, and his hip joints went slack and his knees began knocking together. 7 The king called aloud to bring in the conjurers, the Chaldeans and the diviners. The king spoke and said to the wise men of Babylon, “Any man who can read this inscription and explain its interpretation to me shall be clothed with purple and have a necklace of gold around his neck, and have authority as third ruler in the kingdom.” 8 Then all the king’s wise men came in, but they could not read the inscription or make known its interpretation to the king. 9 Then King Belshazzar was greatly alarmed, his face grew even paler, and his nobles were perplexed.”

We will finish out in Daniel 5:10-12 & 17; 10 The queen entered the banquet hall because of the words of the king and his nobles; the queen spoke and said, “O king, live forever! Do not let your thoughts alarm you or your face be pale. 11 “There is a man in your kingdom in whom is a spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of your father, illuminationinsight and wisdom like the wisdom of the gods were found in him. And King Nebuchadnezzar, your father, your father the king, appointed him chief of the magicians, conjurers, Chaldeans and diviners. [This is from their perspective…their frame of reference.] 12 “This was because an extraordinary spiritknowledge and insightinterpretation of dreamsexplanation of enigmas and solving of difficult problems were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar. [Doesn’t this sound familiar? The children of Israel are to be set apart from all other peoples. Let’s name just a few that would have been before Daniel that were of the same spirit: Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Bezalel, Oholiab, Joshua and Caleb.] Let Daniel now be summoned and he will declare [make known] the interpretation.””

Daniel is called in and offered third in command and expensive gifts if he knows the interpretation of what happened. Verse 17 says, “17 Then Daniel answered and said before the king, “Keep your gifts for yourself or give your rewards to someone else; however, I will read the inscription to the king and make the interpretation known to him.” After Daniel made known an accurate interpretation Belshazzar was slain that very night. I recommend reading all of Daniel 5 and note the patterns in there that we can learn from.

I can never emphasize enough the importance of reading His Word in order to have the knowledge of how we are to live our lives and apply it; but it also gives us the knowledge we need in the patterns to prepare today for the coming day…the day when we will be brought in, like Daniel, because the Seven Spirits of YHVH have been seen in our lives and we’ll be used to make His Words known and then they will know that YHVH is King and Yeshua is the Messiah!!!

Have a blessed and shalom filled preparation day!!!
