Power

As we meditate and ponder the mighty and powerful works of our Creator it builds a faith and strength in us that can’t help but influence our everyday life.  As we’ve shared before, we are to make His mighty deeds known among the peoples; but we must first recognize them as such.  This will serve us well to get this truth ingrained in our hearts and minds for the days to come.  Let’s continue in the vein we started last 5th day.

Psalm 78:1-4 says, “1 Listen, O my people, to my instruction [The definition for Torah is teachings and instructions; therefore the Torah is what we listen to.]; incline your ears to the words of my mouth.  2 I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings of old, 3 Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. 4 We will not conceal them from their children, but tell to the generation to come the praises of YHVH, and His strength and His wondrous works that He has done.”

Psalm 66:1-9 says, “1 Shout joyfully to Elohim, all the earth; 2 Sing the glory of His name; make His praise glorious. 3 Say to Elohim, “How awesome are Your works! Because of the greatness of Your power Your enemies will give feigned obedience to You. 4“All the earth will worship You, and will sing praises to You; they will sing praises to Your name.” Selah. 5 Come and see the works of Elohim, Who is awesome in His deeds toward the sons of men.  6 He turned the sea into dry land; they passed through the river on foot; there let us rejoice in Him! 7 He rules by His might forever; His eyes keep watch on the nations; let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah. 8 Bless our Elohim, O peoples, and sound His praise abroad, 9 Who keeps us in life and does not allow our feet to slip.”

It truly is amazing how many verses there are in the Scriptures that encourage, even command, us to make His power known.  As we do this we will in turn be filled with His power to be enabled to continue fulfilling the purpose for which we were born.  We were created to make His praise glorious!!

Have a blessed and shalom filled day!!
