2nd August 2024: Our Daily deLIGHT~6th Day-Knowledge
Power
Happy Preparation Day for the weekly Shabbat!!!! May it be filled with the presence of our King!!
Last week for the 6th day ~ Knowledge, we read Luke 1:68-80 and I had a reference to Jeremiah 31:34. This week we want to go there with the surrounding verses in context.
Jeremiah 31:31-34;
“31 “Behold, days are coming,” declares YHVH, “when I will make a new covenant [In the Hebrew the root word for new is renewed. Therefore this is a renewed covenant, not “another” covenant or a “different” covenant. The words of the covenant stay the same as they are eternal, but the original covenant is renewed in a new location; from tablets of stone to the tablets of our hearts.] with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, [Notice who the renewed covenant is made with; the house of Israel and the house of Judah. This is important!! If we don’t know and understand who this covenant was originally made with and renewed with, we end up believing what we’ve always been told, rather than what the Scriptures really teach. This is something that is vital for us to understand; we need to come into the knowledge of the truth, so that the rest of the Scriptures will harmonize. We will not fully walk in the responsibility and obedience required of Yah’s people if we separate ourselves from these two houses and make a third entity called, “the Church”. The congregation will be these two houses coming back together as one in the House of YHVH through Yeshua His Son. Natural branches and wild branches (nations) are grafted (renewed) into the whole house of Israel.
Romans 11]
32 not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand [With His Power] to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares YHVH. [It was their word to keep the covenant that they broke. They did not follow through with what they said they would do in obedience.]
33 “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares YHVH, “I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it [the law]; and I will be their Elohim, and they shall be My people. [This verse is clear that it’s not the law, or the words written, that are going to change; again, it’s the location from stone to our hearts.]
34 “They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know YHVH,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares YHVH, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”. [Remember 1 John 3:4 says that sin is transgression or breaking the law.]
May the light of His knowledge fill our hearts so that we know who we really are and walk responsibly and obediently to the covenant!! We will continue building this next week.
Have a blessed and shalom filled celebration at the feast!!!
