9th July 2024: Our Daily deLIGHT~3rd Day-Counsel
Counsel
During the Spring feasts, it is a time when the Spirit often brings to the surface the things that He wants us to repent of, remove and make right in our lives. When we listen and receive the wisdom directed by the Spirit of Counsel our freedom is certain and complete.
Proverbs 15:29-32 says; “29 YHVH is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous. 30 Bright eyes gladden the heart; good news puts fat on the bones. 31 He whose ear listens to the life-giving reproof will dwell among the wise. 32 He who neglects discipline despises himself, but he who listens to reproof acquires understanding.” These verses contain several of the Spirits of YHVH, either blatantly or in concept. The life-giving Spirit fills the one that yields to wise counsel, discipline and reproof. The one who is disciplined is considered a child of Yah. (Hebrews 12:3-11)
Powerful promises, both positive and negative, are in the following verses for the one who receives or rejects the counsel/correction/reproof from the Spirit of YHVH.
Proverbs 1:23-30 says; “23 Turn to my reproof, Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you. 24 “Because I called and you refused, I stretched out my hand and no one paid attention; 25 And you neglected all my counsel and did not want my reproof; 26 I will also laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your dread comes, 27 When your dread comes like a storm and your calamity comes like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you. 28 “Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; they will seek me diligently but they will not find me, 29 because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of YHVH. 30 “They would not accept my counsel, they spurned all my reproof.”
Here’s the GOOD/TOV news; Proverbs 1:33 goes on to say, “But he who listens to me [counsel and reproof] shall live securely and will be at ease from the dread of evil.”
Hebrews 12:11; “All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.” This is a peace that we are in right standing with our Great Creator. May the Spirit of Counsel be lit in our hearts so that we repent, remove and make right the areas in our lives that are not pleasing to our heavenly Father and our lamp can shine brightly in a dark world!!
Have a blessed and shalom filled day!!
