4th February 2024: Our Daily deLIGHT~1st Day-Wisdom
Wisdom
The Scripture repeatedly speaks to the value of obedience to the Word and within them are the Seven Spirits of YHVH!!! We truly can’t have one without the other. The Spirit leads us to desire to obey the Word and then in turn, the Word teaches us how to apprehend and walk in the Seven Spirits of Yah. It is GOOD for us; in fact, it is our very life!!! As we read the verses below, may the Spirit of Wisdom allow them to penetrate deep into our hearts and transform our thoughts.
Proverbs 19:8 says, “He who gets wisdom loves his own soul; he who keeps understanding will find good.”
Proverbs 2:9-10 says, “9 Then you will discern righteousness and justice and equity and every good course. [Path in which to walk.] 10 For wisdom will enter your heart and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;.
Righteousness AND justice are foundational to our faith!!! As Abraham was told what YHVH was about to bring on Sodom and Gomorrah, He said the following in Genesis 18:17-19. “17 YHVH said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do, 18 since Abraham will surely become a great and mighty nation, and in him all the nations of the earth will be blessed? 19 For I have chosen him, so that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of YHVH by doing righteousness and justice, so that YHVH may bring upon Abraham what He has spoken about him.”” Did you catch where it said that keeping the way of YHVH was doing righteousness AND justice!! It takes both. Without equally having righteousness and justice, what YHVH desired to bring about through Abraham wouldn’t happen. It was also CRUCIAL that he commanded his children AND his household in this way. The Father taught Abraham these important truths by allowing him to walk through the judgment that He was about to bring on these wicked places. Abraham demonstrated both righteousness and justice by accepting that judgment needed to come, but also showing great compassion by interceding for them to be spared if there were fifty righteous, forty-five, forty, thirty, twenty, all the way down to ten, in hopes that there would be at least that many in those cities so they could be spared. Each time YHVH agreed!! Unfortunately, there were not even ten that had been influenced by Lot, Abraham’s nephew; therefore, Lot and two daughters escaped, but everyone else was destroyed. This includes Lot’s wife, who had initially come out, but looked back and turned into a pillar of salt. This experience did much to teach Abraham about both righteousness and justice being maintained so that order could be restored.
In Yeshua we are the seed of Abraham. In Yeshua we are to walk out the balance of these Biblical truths. In Yeshua we have access to the Seven Spirits. Among them for today is the Spirit of Wisdom and this Spirit is always willing to lead us in the right way if we will ask for it and then do it. It is good and wise to do righteousness and justice and to teach others to do so!!
Have a blessed and shalom filled day!!
