Wisdom

Whether it’s spiritual food or natural food, it is a wise person who is not lazy to gather what will nourish the soul and body daily.  There is great reward for the wise and diligent one; but one who is unwilling to put forth the effort suffers accordingly. Today we will see another area to consider receiving the Spirit of Wisdom in order to fuel our spiritual and natural bodies.

Proverbs 10:1-5 says,

1 The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a father glad, but a foolish son is a grief to his mother.

2 Ill-gotten gains do not profit, but righteousness delivers from death.

YHVH will not allow the righteous to hunger, but He will reject the craving of the wicked.

4 Poor is he who works with a negligent hand [one who is lazy], but the hand of the diligent makes rich

5 He who gathers in summer is a son who acts wisely, but he who sleeps in harvest is a son who acts shamefully. [In an honor and shame society, which unfortunately we have lost in this day and time, it was a big deal to be considered as one who acted shamefully. This is still true today, even though it’s not recognized, and will be restored as the restoration of all things continue to take place.]

Psalm 37:25 says,

25 I have been young and now I am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his descendants begging bread.

Proverbs 21:5a says,

5 The plans of the diligent lead surely to advantage,

Proverbs 13:4 says,

4 The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, but the soul of the diligent is made fat.

May we receive the Spirit of Wisdom today and make a conscious effort to be diligent both spiritually and naturally in every area of our lives and teach our children and grandchildren the same.

Have a blessed and shalom filled day!!
