Fear of YHVH

Shabbat Shalom!! We look forward to worshipping with the Treasured Ones today!!

Yesterday one of the verses we talked about was in Proverbs 4:23.  It says; “23. Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of lifeThe concept of spring of life is that of a fountain. The Spirit for today is the Fear of YHVH and there are many promises in the Scriptures for those who do Fear YHVH and one of those connects to a fountain of life.  We will begin today and for the next few weeks looking at what the rewards and promises are for those who Fear YHVH.

Proverbs 14:26-27 says, 26 In the fear of YHVH there is strong confidence, and his children will have refuge27 The fear of YHVH is a fountain of life, that one may avoid the snares of death.”

In these two verses we have four promises for the one who has the Fear or Reverence of YHVH:

  1. Strong confidence
  2. Will have refuge
  3. Is a fountain of life
  4. Avoid the snares of death

Connecting a verse from yesterday with one from today we see that if we watch over heart with all diligence AND we have the fear of YHVH we are a fountain or spring of life.  We have life giving water, therefore we will not be dry or thirsty and we’ll be overflowing into other’s lives who needs a drink.

In the fear of YHVH it also says we will have strong confidence and refuge.  Proverbs 3:26 says, “For YHVH will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.” When we take refuge in Him we will not be caught by the enemy.

Ephesians 3:11-12 says, 11 This was according to the eternal purpose that He has realized in Messiah Yeshua our Lord, 12 in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in Him.”

Hebrews 4:14-16 says, 14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Yeshua the Son of Elohim, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. 16 Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace [power and enablement to do Yah’s will], so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

We’ll close in Hebrews 10:35-36, 35 Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward36 For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of Elohim, you may receive what was promised.”

If we have the Fear of YHVH and endurance we can have the confidence that everything He’s promised in His Word is ours to claim!!

May we have a joyful Shabbat!!
