Today we will continue through Psalm 35 in order that we may gain the knowledge that our founding fathers studied and received as a rhema for their mission.  There will come a day again that we will need the Spirit of Knowledge to reveal what we are to do and how to do it. This is part of the reason for the gifts of the Spirit.  Among these gifts is the Word of Knowledge.

Psalm 35:11-21

11.  Malicious witnesses rise up; they ask me of things that I do not know.
12. They repay me evil for good, to the bereavement of my soul.
13. But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth; I humbled my soul with fasting, and my prayer kept returning to my bosom.[The men that gathered for that first meeting from the thirteen colonies called for a time of humble fasting.]
14. I went about as though it were my friend or brother; I bowed down mourning, as one who sorrows for a mother.
15. But at my stumbling they rejoiced and gathered themselves together; the  smiters whom I did not know gathered together against me, they  slandered me without ceasing.
16. Like godless jesters at a feast, they gnashed at me with their teeth.
17. YHVH, how long will You look on? Rescue my soul from their ravages, my only life from the lions. [Interesting to note they were fighting Great Britain and the symbol for them is the lion.]
18. I will give You thanks in the great congregation; I will praise You among a mighty throng. [These men would call for a time for all to join in fasting and prayer and then they would call for a time for all to give thanks to YHVH for the answered prayers.]
19. Do not let those who are wrongfully my enemies rejoice over me, nor let those who hate me without cause  wink maliciously.
20. For they do not speak peace, but they devise deceitful words against those who are quiet in the land.
21. They opened their mouth wide against me; they said, “Aha, aha, our eyes have seen it!”

While our founding forefathers had flaws in their lives, most of our patriarchs of Scripture did too.  This is how we can know the grace of Elohim is real, because He brings about His purposes in spite of us, not because of us!!
