Proverbs 4:10-13; “10 Hear, my son, and accept my sayings [Take my counsel] and the years of your life will be many. 11 I have directed you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in upright paths. 12 When you walk, your steps will not be impeded; and if you run, you will not tumble. 13 Take hold of instruction [Take hold of counsel]; do not let go. Guard her [Guard instruction/counsel], for she is your life.”  LIFE is the promise given twice in these verses if we accept the counsel and take hold of what is written!! The Hebrew word used for take hold is Chazak. It means strong, strength, to fasten.  So the concept is to GRIP instruction and counsel strongly.

1 Timothy 6:11-14, 17-19 says, “11  But flee from these things, you man of Elohim, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith; TAKE HOLD of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 13 I charge you in the presence of Elohim, who gives life to all things, and of Messiah Yeshua, who testified the good confession before Pontius Pilate, 14 that you keep the commandment without stain or reproach until the appearing of our Master Yeshua Messiah, 17 Instruct [Counsel] those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on Elohim, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. 18 Instruct [Counsel] them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share [This connects us as a community], 19 storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may TAKE HOLD of that which is life indeed.

Hebrews 6:17-20; “17 In the same way Elohim, desiring even more to show to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose, interposed with an oath, 18 so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for Elohim to lie [In other words, what is about to be counseled is the TRUTH and irrefutable…this is GREAT news for us!!], we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement [Strong Counsel] to TAKE HOLD of the hope set before us. 19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil, 20 where Yeshua has entered as a forerunner for us, having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.” We will experience what is intended for us if we take this counsel to TAKE HOLD of the hope set before us.  We have this hope by receiving Yeshua as Messiah and taking hold of the commandments through obedience to them.

Revelation 3:10-12;  “10 Because you have kept My command to endure with patience, I will also keep you from the hour of testing that is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. 11 I am coming soon. HOLD FAST to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. 12 The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of My Elohim, and he will never again leave it. Upon him I will write the name of My Elohim, and the name of the city of My Elohim (the new Jerusalem that comes down out of heaven from My Elohim), and My new name.”

May we have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying and receive the counsel to TAKE HOLD with a STRONG GRIP these words that lead to LIFE!!
