Wisdom

Today I want to continue with the thoughts that we started last week on day five in connection with the Spirit of Power.

We looked at 1 Corinthians 2:2-5. “2. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Yeshua Messiah and Him crucified. 3. I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling. 4. My message and my preaching were not with persuasive words of wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, 5. so that your faith would not rest on men’s wisdom, but on Elohim’s power.”

As we continue reading in 1 Corinthians 2:6-9 the picture continues to develop with the Spirit of Wisdom“6. Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are mature; a wisdom, however, not of this age nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away; 7. but we speak Elohim’s wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which Elohim predestined before the ages to our glory; 8. the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified Yeshua of glory; 9. but just as it is written, “THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT YHVH HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.” [those who are in covenant loyalty to Him]

Paul is not against true wisdom; but he is trying to differentiate between seeking out carnal wisdom and understanding from wisdom which is from above that can only be had by knowing our Creators, YHVH and Yeshua, intimately. It is through a deep and abiding spiritual relationship as well as staying in THE Word that this wisdom comes.  When we have these things in place we will be led into true wisdom in every situation.

James 1:5-6 says, “5. But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of Elohim ,[not the world’s wisdom] who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6. But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.”

May this first day of the week be a fresh start as we seek our heavenly Father for His wisdom so that His light would shine brighter in our hearts and lives!!

Have a blessed and shalom filled day!!

Shalom & Blessings,
