When we consider truth through the principle of design we gain much knowledge and wisdom and then insights will come.  We have been raised in a society that we don’t need anyone; I have a mind, therefore, I will make my own decisions.  Yet, when we consider the very function of the brain itself, there are MANY moving parts that make the whole.  It is this way with every single cell of our body.  It will not function without being connected to the entire body. It all works TOGETHER.  So, is it any wonder that we’re told that plans are frustrated without counsel and that success is had with MANY counselors?  He designed us to NEED to be connected, even in our counsel.

The Spirit of Counsel, which is counsel from YHVH, will often come through His people and will ALWAYS line up with His Word.  In Psalm 32:8-11 it says, “8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you. 9 Do not be as the horse or as the mule which have no understanding, whose trappings include bit and bridle to hold them in check, otherwise they will not come near to you. 10 Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but he who trusts in YHVH, lovingkindness shall surround him. 11 Be glad in YHVH and rejoice you righteous ones; and shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart.”   

When we string together the pearls of Proverbs 15 with Psalm 32 we gain a better understanding of how YHVH instructs and counsels us. When we seek wise and godly counsel from trusted faithful people who live by the Word, it is the same as YHVH counseling us.

In summary, His Word tells us that:

1. Without counsel plans are frustrated
2. With many counselors, plans succeed
3. Joy comes with an apt answer [counsel]
4. Delight comes with a timely word
5. YHVH will instruct [counsel] and teach how we should go
6. Do not be stubborn and need a bit and bridle to draw near to our heavenly Father and His ways…willing come and obey
7. Those who trust in YHVH will be surrounded by His lovingkindness
8. Be glad, rejoice and shout for joy all who are upright in heart

In a world where there is very little peace and true happiness, we are given keys in these few verses where we can obtain joy, delight, gladness, and rejoicing.  It comes by simply submitting to the Spirit of Counsel the way He says to do it.
