Today we will continue looking at what the rewards and promises are for those who Fear YHVH.  A few days ago we touched on Psalm 34 in context with Yah hearing and delivering His people.  Today we will go back there and discover more promises for those who Fear YHVH.  Before we do here is a little background about this Psalm. David wrote this Psalm after he had the experience of changing his behavior to act as a madman before Abimelech, who drove him away. (1 Samuel 21:10-15)  Notice how much praise and thanksgiving there is following his deliverance.

Psalm 34:1-14 says,

 1  I will bless YHVH at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

2 My soul will make its boast in YHVH; the humble will hear it and rejoice.

3 O magnify YHVH with me, and let us exalt His name together.

4 I sought YHVH, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.

5 They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces will never be ashamed.

6 This poor man cried, and YHVH heard him and saved him out of all his troubles.

7 The angel of YHVH encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them.

8 O taste and see that YHVH is good; how blessed [Hebrew word for Happy] is the man who takes refuge in Him!

9 O fear YHVH, you His saints; for to those who fear Him there is no want.

10 The young lions do lack and suffer hunger; but they who seek YHVH shall not be in want of any good thing.

11 Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of YHVH.

12 Who is the man who desires life and loves length of days that he may see good?

13 Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit.

14 Depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

 In these verses we see that YHVH encamps, rescues, and provides for the one who fears His name!!!  David had an understanding of this Fear of YHVH as he even offers to teach it to those who will listen to him…to those who will take his counsel.  If we have a proper Fear of YHVH, we, too, can be one that others can learn from.
