20th November 2024: Our Daily deLIGHT~4th Day-Spirit of YHVH
Spirit of YHVH
In Acts 9 we read of the Apostle Paul’s Conversion. It was miraculous and left no doubt in his mind that Yeshua IS the Messiah. Below we will read how the Holy Spirit was imparted through the laying on of hands; and how confirmation came to Saul, who was also called Paul, that what he was experiencing was from above.
Acts 9:10-19 says, “10 Now there was a disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and Adonai said to him in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Here I am, Master.” 11 And Adonai said to him, “Get up and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying, 12 and he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias come in and lay his hands on him, so that he might regain his sight.” 13 But Ananias answered, “Master, I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he did to Your saints at Jerusalem; 14 and here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on Your name.” 15 But Adonai said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel; 16 for I will show him how much he must suffer for My name’s sake.” 17 So Ananias departed and entered the house, and after laying his hands on him said, “Brother Saul, Master Yeshua, who appeared to you on the road by which you were coming, has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18 And immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he regained his sight, and he got up and was baptized; 19 and he took food and was strengthened.”
Mark 5:21-23 says, “21 When Yeshua had crossed over again in the boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered around Him; and so He stayed by the seashore. 22 One of the synagogue officials named Jairus came up, and on seeing Him, fell at His feet 23 and implored Him earnestly, saying, “My little daughter is at the point of death; please come and lay Your hands on her, so that she will get well and live.”
Mark 7:32 says, “They brought to Him one who was deaf and spoke with difficulty, and they implored Him to lay His hand on him.”
Luke 4:40 says, “While the sun was setting, all those who had any who were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and laying His hands on each one of them, He was healing them.”
Acts 28:8 says, “And it happened that the father of Publius was lying in bed afflicted with recurrent fever and dysentery; and Paul went in to see him and after he had prayed, he laid his hands on him and healed him.”
James 5:14-16 says, “14 Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Master; [This was done through the laying on of hands to pray for and anoint with oil.] 15 and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Master will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. 16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.”
There are MANY examples in the Torah where the laying on of hands was directed by the Spirit of YHVH to impart blessing, healing, anointing, ordination, leadership, transferred authority and even laying hands on the heads of the animals used for a sin sacrifice. What is done in the natural has greater implications in the spiritual!! There is an earthly manifestation of a heavenly transference taking place when done under the direction of the Holy Spirit. May we be filled with the Spirit of YHVH so that we may be instruments in His hands for His service!!
Have a blessed and shalom filled day!!
