Power

If we are believers that have been born from above we are to walk in the
image of Yeshua. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, ” Therefore if anyone is in
Messiah, he is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new
things have come.”

1 John 2:5-6 goes onto say, “5 but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of Elohim has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him: 6 the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.”

Romans 8:29; “For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren;” It is the Father’s will and desire that many would be as His Son is.

There are many patterns and verses in Scripture that attest to the fact that we are to come into the image of Yeshua.  The three I used, briefly speak to this truth.  When we read about His life and the way He walked it out, it shows us how we, too, are to live and actually become like Him.

Why do I bring this up? If we’re going to walk in the Power intended for the children of YHVH, then we are to recognize the different ways in which this is accomplished in our lives.  Yeshua demonstrated this perfectly in His life!!!

In Luke 4:1-2 it says, “1 Yeshua, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led around by the Spirit in the wilderness 2 for forty days, being tempted by the devil. And He ate nothing during those days, and when they had ended, He became hungry.”

This is the time that Yeshua was given three tests and every one of them He overcame by using the word…it is written. Notice that it said, before the temptation or tests came, that He was full of the Holy Spirit.  He was equipped with everything He needed to overcome before the temptation or tests came.  We would never be brought to something that we have not also been given the tools to overcome.  The Seven Spirits of YHVH are from Him and are Him, so when we allow each one to shine light on every test we come too we will pass that test.

As we read on in Luke 4 verses 14-15 it says, “14 And Yeshua returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about Him spread through all the surrounding district. 15 And He began teaching in their synagogues and was praised by all.”

So what is the difference between being full of the Spirit and now having the power of the Spirit?  When we go to the Greek words for each of those it says, to be full means to be covered over, complete or filled up.  The word power has the meanings of miraculous power, strength, mighty, force, miracles, etc… Yeshua passed His tests by using the Spirit that He was covered with or full of.  When you get a chance, take the time to read Luke 4:3-12 to see that the Spirit ALWAYS directed Yeshua to the Word and this is how He overcame EVERY temptation. This, too, is how we will overcome every temptation and test brought to us. After Yeshua passed His tests He then returned to the Galilee in the Power of the Spirit and began to teach.

We need to be full of the Spirit [covered over] so that we WILL pass our tests then the Spirit of Power will be entrusted to us!! If we ask for it…He will keep us filled with it.

Have a blessed and shalom filled day!!
