1st January 2024: Our Daily deLIGHT~2nd Day-Understanding

Understanding
In the day in which we live, if we look at it only in the natural, it can be difficult to understand why certain things are allowed by our Creator. But as we begin to trust that YHVH is sovereign and has His plan in place, we can yield our lack of understanding to Him and know that He will bring understanding about in due season. The verses we will read from the prophet Isaiah today gives us this hope.
Speaking of a glorious future…Isaiah 32:1-4 says,
1 Behold, a king will reign righteously and princes will rule justly.
2 Each will be like a refuge from the wind and a shelter from the storm, like streams of water in a dry country, like the shade of a huge rock in a parched land.
3 Then the eyes of those who see will not be blinded, and the ears of those who hear will listen.
4 The mind of the hasty will discern [understand] the truth, and the tongue of the stammerers will hasten to speak clearly.
Israel Encouraged…Isaiah 41:17-20 says,
17 “The afflicted and needy are seeking water, but there is none, and their tongue is parched with thirst; I, YHVH, will answer them Myself, as the Elohim of Israel I will not forsake them. [Our heavenly Father desires us to understand that it is He who is the provider of every area of our lives. We need to trust Him that He will bring it about as we surrender control. We do this when we yield our will to His. We must be careful that we don’t try to put Yah into what we’re doing, but get into what He’s doing and obey.]
18 “I [YHVH] will open rivers on the bare heights and springs in the midst of the valleys; I [YHVH] will make the wilderness a pool of water and the dry land fountains of water.
19 “I [YHVH] will put the cedar in the wilderness, the acacia and the myrtle and the olive tree; I [YHVH] will place the juniper in the desert together with the box tree and the cypress,
20 That they may see and recognize, and consider and gain insight [understanding] as well, that the hand of YHVH has done this, and the Holy One of Israel has created it.
In Isaiah 57:1-2 YHVH separates the righteous, even through death, just before He rebukes the evil leaders. Initially we don’t understand this; but then it becomes clear when you realize the patterns throughout the Bible of removing the righteous out of an area before bringing judgment. It has never changed, nor will it.
1 The righteous man perishes, and no man takes it to heart; and devout men are taken away, while no one understands. For the righteous man is taken away from evil,
2 He enters into peace; They rest in their beds, each one who walked in his upright way.
Father, grace us with the Spirit of Understanding, that although we may not understand what is going on at the moment, in due time You will bring understanding to us!!
