Spirit of YHVH
In the book of Numbers there are many accounts about the Children of Israel concerning their wilderness journey between Egypt and the promise land. The journey through the wilderness, and the things they encountered, are written for our example and pattern to learn from. Some things are what we are to do, while other things are what we are NOT to do. One of those things we read about several times in the beginning of their journey was complaining. In Numbers 11:1 it says, “Now the people became like those who complain of adversity in the hearing of YHVH; and, His anger was kindled, and the fire of YHVH burned among them and consumed some of the outskirts of the camp.”
The last place we need to be is on the outskirts of the community the Father has placed us in. Those who were all in were protected and kept safe. As you move along in Numbers 11 you will read how the rabble who were among them had greedy desires and they, along with the sons of Israel, began to weep and complain again, desiring to have meat instead of the bread from heaven given by YHVH. This was an act of rejection for what our Creator provided. This bread from heaven would not only be EXACTLY what they needed for nourishment, EXACTLY what they needed to learn who their provider was, but it would also be EXACTLY what we needed for the prophetic portent of Yeshua, who is the bread from heaven. It is a Messianic prophecy fulfilled.
The rabble, and those who stay on the outskirts, will usually be critical and never satisfied with what is provided. They constantly find fault and in turn will use the “perceived faults” to appease their conscience for the way they’re living and why they’re not all in. This would be one of those things we are to learn that we are “NOT to do”!!
As a result of this spirit in the community Moses was angry and went before YHVH with a GREAT burden about the attitude of the people (Numbers 11:10-15). After their dialogue this is what was said to Moses in Numbers 11:16-17, “16 YHVH therefore said to Moses, “Gather for Me seventy men from the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people and their officers and bring them to the tent of meeting, and let them take their stand there with you. 17 “Then I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take of the Spirit who is upon you, and will put Him upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, so that you will not bear it all alone.”
Galatians 6:2 says, “Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Messiah.” We are to take our stand with one another in order to help bear one another’s burdens. This is not just emotionally, but practically, physically, spiritually and financially.
The Spirit of YHVH will always enable us to do what He’s called us to do if we will yield to Him. The pattern since the garden has been that we were not designed to do it alone. Adam was told he needed a “helper suitable for him” therefore Eve/Chavah was taken from his side and given to him as a helper. This is an earthly manifestation of the Holy Spirit, who the Scripture says is our helper, given to help us relate to this heavenly truth. However, Adam and Eve were not to stop there with just themselves, they are then told to be fruitful and multiply. We are not designed to be our four and no more. He is building a body for Messiah’s head and this consists of many parts. Each congregation that He is structuring has a part in this whole.
Therefore, let’s “Be All In and Not on the Fringe!!”
Have a blessed and shalom filled day!!
