John 14:16-17, 26 says, “16  I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; 17 that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. 26 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.” Why did Yeshua use the phrase “another” Helper? Who was their first Helper?  It is Yeshua discipling, training and yes, being a Helper to them to understand the Kingdom of YHVH.  Yeshua and the Father will continue to be with and in the Sons of Elohim to teach and lead by sending the Holy Spirit.

John continues to write in his book in 15:26-27; “26 “When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me, 27 and you will testify also, because you have been with Me from the beginning.”

It’s amazing how much John wrote about the Holy Spirit.  He was very passionate about the NEED for others to understand the depth and value that the Holy Spirit is to our lives.  It is what fuels the rest of our menorah/our walk if you will.  We will not have light or life, that which is true life, without the Holy Spirit empowering us each day. John 16:13 says, “But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.”

A Whole Family is filled with the Holy Spirit

Let’s quickly look in the book of Luke to discover how a whole family was filled with the Holy Spirit to fulfill the purpose of the kingdom of YHVH.

Zacharias and Elizabeth were barren, unable to have children.  An angel of YHVH came to Zacharias and told him that his prayers have been heard and his wife, Elizabeth will bear a son and his name is to be Yochanan/John. The angels told him several more things, but let’s look at Luke 1:15 for the sake of our deLIGHT. “For he will be great in the sight of YHVH; and he will drink no wine or liquor, and he [Yochanan/John] will be filled with the Holy Spirit while yet in his mother’s womb.” 

As we continue reading in Luke 1 Mary/Myriam, the cousin of Elizabeth, who is now supernaturally pregnant with Yeshua, comes to Elizabeth’s house.  Luke 1:41-45 says, “41 When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42 And she cried out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43 “And how has it happened to me, that the mother of my Master would come to me? 44 “For behold, when the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby leaped in my womb for joy. 45. “And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what had been spoken to her by the Master.” Elizabeth knew these things by the Spirit, not in the natural.  She also made it clear that it came “at the greeting”.

Yochanan/John has now been born, Zacharias wrote down his name on a tablet and immediately his tongue was loosed that had been closed up until his birth. The first thing Zacharias did was praise Elohim!!! In Luke 1:66 a question was asked of Zacharias, “What then will this child turn out to be? For the hand of YHVH was certainly on him?” Verse 67 says, “And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying:” Please read the rest of Luke 1 as it is very powerful. Especially in light of the words of Yeshua who says, “John is Elijah the Prophet, if you can believe.”  John came in the spirit of Elijah and the Days of Elijah will come again before the great and terrible day of YHVH. What was, is, and will be again!!

Every member of Zacharias’s family was filled with the Holy Spirit so that the purpose of the kingdom could be advanced.  As we often say, “It is our fuel!!”  Receive the Spirit from on high and our path will be lit and we will be guided into all truth!!
