Luke 4:16-19 says after Yeshua’s forty days of testing, “14  And Yeshua returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about Him spread through all the surrounding district. 15  And He began teaching in their synagogues and was praised by all. 16 And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up; and as was His custom, He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath,[The seventh day is the Sabbath] and stood up to read. 17  And the book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. And He opened the book and found the place where it was written, 18 “THE SPIRIT OF YHVH IS UPON ME, BECAUSE HE ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR. HE HAS SENT ME TO PROCLAIM RELEASE TO THE CAPTIVES, AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET FREE THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED, 19 TO PROCLAIM THE FAVORABLE YEAR OF YHVH.”

Yeshua is quoting from Isaiah 61:1 which says, “​The Spirit of YHVH Elohim is upon me, because YHVH has anointed me to bring good news to the  afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners;” This has not changed.  He still binds up the brokenhearted, proclaims liberty and freedom to all who will call upon His name.

In Matthew 12, following the time Yeshua ate the grain and healed the hand on the Sabbath, the Pharisees conspired against Him.  But this had to happen to bring forth the truth who the Spirit had chosen as Messiah, to those present and to those in the future who would read about it.  What Yeshua went through that day WAS for a purpose!! Verses 14-18: says, “14  But the Pharisees went out and  conspired against Him, as to how they might destroy Him. 15  But Yeshua, aware of this, withdrew from there. Many followed Him, and He healed them all, 16  and warned them not to tell who He was. 17  This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet:[Isaiah 42:1]   18 BEHOLD, MY SERVANT WHOM I HAVE CHOSEN; MY BELOVED IN WHOM MY SOUL IS WELL-PLEASED; I WILL PUT MY SPIRIT UPON HIM, AND HE SHALL PROCLAIM JUSTICE TO THE GENTILES.” Yeshua is the world’s LIVING HOPE!!

John 3:34 also confirms this: “For He whom Elohim has sent speaks the words of YHVH;  for He gives the Spirit without measure.” Many verses tell of the fact that Yeshua speaks the words of His Father.  We will constantly repeat this in hopes that we will understand that the commandments have not been done away with.  Yeshua taught to the masses what His Father brought to the mountain!!!

When we go through situations that distress us and seem hopeless, if we will continue to trust that our Father is ALWAYS in control, we can then wait for the purpose for which it is to serve.  May we allow the Spirit of YHVH to free us from fear and worry so that we can bear the fruit of peaceable righteousness!!
