Fear of YHVH

Shabbat Shalom!! We look forward to worshipping with the Treasured Ones today!!

Today we will continue looking at what the rewards and promises are for those who Fear YHVH.  Today’s verses will continue from a chapter we used on the fifth day of this week…the Spirit of Power.

Psalm 33:18-22 says,

18  Behold, the eye of YHVH is on those who fear Him, on those who  hope [hope, wait, expect] for His lovingkindness,

19  To deliver their soul from death and to keep them alive in famine. [How fitting for the situation we’re in at this time.]

20  Our soul waits for YHVH; He is our help and our shield.

21 For our heart rejoices in Himbecause we trust in His holy name.

22  Let Your lovingkindness, O YHVH, be upon us, according as we have hoped [hope, wait, expect] in You.

Psalm 34:15-17 says,

15 The eyes of YHVH are toward the righteous and His ears are open to their cry [prayer].

16  The face of YHVH is against evildoers, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.

17  The righteous cry, and YHVH hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.

1 Peter 3:12-15…Peter quoting Psalm 34 says,

12 “For the eyes of YHVH are toward the righteous, and His ears attend to their prayer, but the face of YHVH is against those who do evil.”
13   Who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good?

14  But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their intimidation, and do not be troubled,

15 but sanctify Messiah as Adonai in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and  reverence [Fear of YHVH];

Let’s take hold of the promises for the one who fears His name listed in these verses!!!  All we have to do is truly Reverence Him and every promise above is for us.  When we have these functioning in our lives we can be free from anxiety and walk in shalom!!

May we have a joyful Shabbat!!
