Power

In the following verses is a beautiful prayer that Paul shared with the congregation in Ephesus. There is much truth packed in these seven verses!! This is our hearts cry for each and every one of us!!

Ephesians 3:14-21; “14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name [speaking of YHVH and Yeshua as the family that we’re adopted into], 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 so that Messiah may dwell in your hearts through faithand that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Messiah which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of Elohim. 20 Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, 21 to Him be the glory in the congregation and in Messiah Yeshua to all generations forever and ever. Amen.”

Summary of Ephesians 3:14-21:

  1. YHVH would grant us riches according to HIS glory
  2. Strengthen us with power through HIS Spirit
  3. Messiah may dwell IN our hearts through faith
  4. That we would be rooted and ground IN love
  5. Able to comprehend with all of the saints [with all of the community…me becoming we] the absolute DEPTH of Messiah’s love for us
  6. We would be filled to the fullness of Elohim as opposed to being filled with the flesh
  7. The more of His power that we have working IN us then He is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think

As we’ve mentioned before, one of the words for power is strongIt truly takes the Spirit of Power to operate in our lives so that we will overcome temptations, pass our tests and live a victorious life.  Therefore we are told in 1Corinthians 16:13-14 to; “13 Be on the alertstand firm in the faithact like menbe strong. 14 Let all that you do be done IN love.”

Summary of these two verses:

  1. Be on alert
  2. Stand firm in the faith
  3. Act like men [idiomatic for be strong, courageous, mature/not childish]
  4. Done IN love

Psalm 31:23-24; 23 O love YHVH, all you His godly ones! YHVH preserves the faithful and fully recompenses the proud doer. 24 Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who hope in YHVH.”

Have a blessed and shalom filled day!!

  1. For the love of God

    Amein. Power of his love.
We yield our flesh and he then can fill us to overflowing power by his Spirit. It’s awesome and also very sad if we choose to have it our way. We do not have to fail we just must get out of the way.
